How do we process your data?
Your data is processed in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation. To ensure this and to transparently explain the data collection/processing to you, we list the following in tabular form for all services: (i) for what purpose data is collected, (ii) what type of data is involved, (iii) how long it is stored, (iv) how the data is collected, (v) when the data is collected, (vi) who processes/stores the data, and (vii) which legal bases are used in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR.
If the legal basis for data collection / processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests, then a balancing of interests will be carried out. If you do not agree with this, please stop using our services and contact our data protection officer.
In principle, the following applies to all our services: If you access one of our services with a browser, technically necessary data such as the IP address in particular will be transmitted to us. This data is sent unsolicited by the browser and is necessary to establish a connection. For reasons of system security, the following transmitted data is logged for several weeks: IP address, date & time, accessed link & access method, HTTP status & file size, query string. After this period, the IP address is anonymised. This logging is used to detect attacks, determine load data and fulfil legal requirements. No personal evaluation or profiling takes place. If this data is further processed by individual services, this is noted in the corresponding table.
Your personal data sent to us will not be transmitted to recipients in third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or to international organisations. All data transmitted to us is encrypted using TLS.
TerraZo App - app.terrazo.at
The TerraZo app makes it easy to create application maps with the help of satellite data.
To make it easier for you as a user to get started, we offer a test mode. This test mode is automatically active if you are not logged into the application. In this mode, not all functions are available to you and only the stroke limits are transmitted to us. All other data, such as stroke names, are only saved locally on your device in this mode.
As soon as you register, you must agree to our terms of use. We store certain data (see table) on our servers for the purpose of contract fulfilment (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). All personal data provided by you will remain stored until you explicitly delete this data or the legal bases applied are invalid.
Please note that, depending on your data protection settings, additional data may be collected for usage statistics when you visit this service. You can find more detailed information in the "Analytics" section below.

1. to enable the creation of customised application maps in demo mode, the drawn field (field boundary) must be transmitted to our servers. Since field boundaries often have a local reference to you, we consider them to be personal data. The field boundaries transmitted by the demo mode are not saved and are only processed for the purpose of creating application maps.
2. to simplify your spatial orientation in our application, we offer the option of searching for addresses. The addresses you enter are transmitted by your browser to the third-party provider HERE. In return, you receive the positions of the addresses entered. Due to the direct transmission by the browser, technically necessary personal data (IP address) is also transmitted to the third party. We do not collect any data about your search process.
3. in order to provide basic orientation, the use of a map service is an essential part of our application; we use the provider HERE for this purpose. As soon as you call up the application or move around on the map, map sections are loaded by your browser via this provider. Due to the direct transmission by the browser, technically necessary data such as the IP address is also transmitted here.
4. in the event of an error on our servers, we record the error messages for a longer period of time (logging). Some of these error messages may contain pseudonymised data such as the user ID. We use these error messages to localise problems. By additionally storing the user ID, we can localise the error more easily in the event of a problem reported by you, enabling us - also in your interest - to restore the functionality of the application more quickly. As logging comprises a large amount of data and is stored over a long period of time, we take particular care not to link your user ID with other personal data.
For scientific purposes, we reserve the right, in accordance with Art. 89 GDPR in conjunction with § 7 DSG, to permanently store the data you enter (e.g. stroke limits, application maps) in pseudonymised form (i.e. removal of all personal data) and to pass it on to third parties in anonymised form for scientific purposes (e.g. machine learning).
