ISOXML Export
If you own an ISOBUS-controlled fertiliser spreader, this article may be useful for you. Otherwise, we recommend using our application mode or the use of shapefiles.
What's ISOXML?
ISOXML is a data format that simplifies the exchange of information between farm management systems (FMIS) and tractor terminals (VT). This format has been standardised in ISO 11783 and is not dependent on the manufacturer. Thus, you can transfer a fertiliser map created with TerraZo to your Steyr terminal and use it to control your Bogballe fertiliser spreader (or any other combination of manufacturers).
How to export with TerraZo?
You have already created a fertiliser map and specified the fertiliser doses for the various zones?
Great, then let's get started!
Select ‘Download ISOXML’ under point 4.
A dialog opens where you can assign a name for the fertiliser map. This name is used by your terminal (usually referred to as a task) and helps you to identify the fertiliser map. Click ‘Download’ and save the ‘TASKDATA.zip’ file.

How can I transfer the data?
There are many ways to transfer ISOXML data to an end device. Many manufacturers provide cloud solutions for this purpose. If you would like to use this method, please contact your manufacturer for more information. In this section, we will be focusing on the method via USB flash drive, which is very likely to work, but is not necessarily the most convenient/quickest.
For this method you will need
-
a terminal that supports ISOXML v3 or v4
-
a USB flash drive
The USB stick must be formatted with FAT32. Unzip the ZIP file and simply copy the ‘TASKDATA’ folder to the USB flash drive. Do not rename anything and do not use any subfolders. Assuming Windows has assigned the USB stick the drive letter ‘D’, the folder should be stored under ‘D:\TASKDATA’. Afterwards, you can eject the stick and remove it from the PC.

How does the import to my terminal work?
Unfortunately, we have to refer to the terminal manufacturer's documentation at this point, as the import process can be very different in some cases. It is best to contact a representative or dealer of the manufacturer directly.
Often you can find instructions from the manufacturer or other farmers on Youtube, just search for:
‘<your terminal manufacturer> ISOXML import’.
As the terminals mostly do not use much text but many symbols, videos in other languages may also be of interest.
Feedback / Trouble shooting
Tell us whether the import into your terminal was successful or not. We are always grateful for detailed feedback, especially if errors occur during import.
